Folic Acid in FLAVA B-Complex increases the folate level of the expectant mother.
Low folate levels are a risk factor for neural tube defects in developing fetuses. The beneficial effect during pregnancy is achieved when 400 μg of folic acid is taken daily as a supplement for at least 1 month before and up to 3 months after conception.
Biotin contained in FLAVA B-Complex contributes to normal energy production and macronutrient metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system, and maintenance of normal hair, skin and mucosa.
Choline in FLAVA B-Complex contributes to normal homocysteine and lipid metabolism and the maintenance of normal liver function.
