Rhodiola rosea is a medicinal plant in the Rhodiola genus (Crassulaceae family) traditionally used as an adaptogenic compound. The root contains a number of bioactive compounds, but the two main ones thought to mediate its effects are rosavin and salidroside. The Rhodiola Rosea product contains a standardized extract containing 1% salidroside. Rhodiola supplements may also have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
